HyperACCESS is a powerful tool for serial port automation as well as many other RS232/Serial communication tasks. It supports a versatile scripting API allowing for automation in VB.net, C#, C++, Python, Javascript, and many other languages. Some examples of serial port automation:

• Data logging from from a variety of sensors including scales, environmental sensors, lab, medical, and industrial monitoring equipment. Capture incoming data to a simple text file for logging, or automatically enter into a spreadsheet or database in real time.
• Device Configuration Send configuration commands or config files to a variety of networking, telecom, industrial and manufacturing equipment.
• Automated Error Monitoring Monitor a system for certain error codes.  Can respond with certain commands automatically, log any errors, and send notifications via email or even voice phone call with the right equipment.
• Remote Control of multiple devices Automate sending commands to remote devices including both single devices as well as batch commands to multiple devices.
